I thought it might be help full for those that signed up but is confused as to new process have a central spot to have questions answered or share experiences of the new process.

I will start off with membership which looks like you need to sign up for site membership first, then wait for confirmation email. Once confirmed and logged in you can then sign up for club membership.

To sign up for this event is a bit of a challenge as I tried but am somewhat in limbo. This is what I did, from the main screen, under upcoming events, click on the event and there is a sign in at the bottom which you can choose your run group and add comments, I choose green as that was the run group I was in the last time. Once you click on the registration button nothing happens,  you get into an error screen. The next time you go back into the event under the event time schedule you will see “You have already submitted a registration request for this event (Registration Status).”

This is as far as I got, I am assuming from this point we wait for some sort of confirmation and payment email from the club.

Looks like the registration process is not IE friendly, your going to need Firefox for PDC.

I don’t think it’s a browser issue… I’ve used IE, Firefox, Opera & Safari. But perhaps an issue with Hotmail (in my case; others may have other email services).

Here’s what I’ve experienced:

I never received a email confirmation for joining the site to my Hotmail account but a few days later, the button to join the club (not the site) was no longer greyed out so I was able to join the club & register for events. I got my event registration confirmation from Brian/PDC Registrar so the event registration went thru. All was good, I thought.

Funnily, the user ID/password for the site doesn’t work upon return to the site after club & event registration session (using my original registration for which I never received a email confirmation) so I tried to recover the ID/password from the website using my Hotmail account. No email from the website.

So I went thru the site registration process using my Gmail account and received an activation email, I can log in to the site fine and also received a password recovery message as well.

The website appears to be functioning fine but Hotmail appears to filter messages from the webadmin for the site. I.e., messages from .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) does not come thru to my Hotmail (inbox or junk/spam). Either people start using non-Hotmail email accounts or the webmaster needs to figure out why Hotmail doesn’t accept messages from .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) (sender’s address or content must trigger its’ classification as mass mailout/spam). The filtering must be at the Hotmail admin level (not user level as there is no option to do so). Hotmail is still fairly popular so the latter solution would be preferable than former…

I was surprised to see that the site would allow me to register for the same event again, if I so desired.

I registered for the April 13th event several days ago. Looking at the event today, I don’t see any mention that I’ve already registered for the event, and that the button to register for the event was active again. I did receive all the e-mails to confirm my registration when I did it, and I am logged into the site.

It’s odd that the site knew I’d registered previously, but doesn’t upon my return.

I’m not going to worry about it, since I did receive all my confirmation stuff - but I can see how someone might be alarmed by that behavior.
